Don Cockcroft

Med school UBC 1970 with 2 Magee '64 classmates, Bill Barclay and Dave Jones. Interned in California, 2 years medicine at RVH, Magill, One year allergy at RVH, one year respiratory medicine at St Paul's in Vancouver, then 2 years chest allergy (ie asthma) research in Hamilton before moving to Saskatoon in 1977. Ironic in that I declined to consider doing my research year(s) in Winnipeg because as I said several times "who in their right minds would spend even one year living on the Canadian prairies." Married Sue April fool's eve (Mar 31) 1973 40(+) years ago; that's RUBY she kept reminding me. Aside from medicine grow prize winning lilies (they actually like our climate) and do an annual ice castle on the front lawn (also does well in our climate !)
