Mostly Secretarial with: Pemberton Securities, Canadian General Insurance,
Import General Giftware; moved to Nimpkish Valley in September 1972 then moved to Woss Lake Vcr. Island; co owned and operated a Restaurant on North Vancouver Island (Logging community). Joined up with best friend to open & run our restaurant - went in with a 5 year plan - we became quite successful over our 5 years serving daily; 3 varieties of fresh homemade soups & chowders, 3 choices of homemade pies, a lunch & dinner special each day, all salads & dressings & toppings were made fresh each day as well. We ended up hiring several of our friends to work with us, also had some help with high school students after school & weekends. With the end of our 5 year plan approaching we decided to sell; we were lucky to sell right away & then very much enjoyed our "freedom" & back to our families. We decided All People should own & operate their own restaurant at some time in their life ~ Dealing with the public everyday is hard to do: We Did Learn; "One Cannot Please All the People All the Time. I am now married to Bob, met Bob & his family in August 1972 in the Nimpkish Valley ~~ we married July 31, 1993 ~~ He has a family of 1 girl & 2 Boys with 5 Beautiful Grand Children (most living on the Island); Bob also has nieces & nephews living on Island as well.

Can't Say I Have a Favourite Story or Memory ~But~ I Can Say I Very Much Enjoyed My 4 Years There & Often Have Wondered Or Thought About A Long Ago Name or Friend & where or what they might now be doing. So Happy to Have Heard From Leslie Connolly - actually spoke with her on the phone.
